Our shelter here in Paradise has seen an increase in the number of pitbulls. The over population of pitbulls has become a nationwide problem. PASH has worked hard to reduce this number here on the ridge. We have recently completed a spay and neutering program which resulted in the spay and neutering of 148 pitbulls and pitbull mixes; in Paradise, Magalia and even Stirling City.

We would like to thank the vets who participated, including Animal Hospital on the Ridge, Clark Road Animal Hospital, Companions Animal Hospital, Colyer Veterinery Service,Magalia Pet Hospital and Skyway Pet Hospital. We would also like to thank all of the animal owners who participated.

We were very pleased with the response we received from this program and hope to do it again in the future.
